(Translation: In Jhalawar, Rajasthan more than 100 nurses have resigned)

Using a basic keyword search, we found a report on the News State webpage, which is the Hindi wing of News Nation. This report clearly states the actual reason for the nurses submitting their resignation to the dean of Jhalawar Medical College.

(Translation: Bad news has come from Jhalawar hospital after an explosion in coronavirus cases. More than 100 members of the nursing staff have submitted their resignation. They said that they cannot work for Rs 6,000. They added that if needed, they will serve the country for free, but they won’t work for Rs 6,000. Apart from this, the nursing staff has also said that they have not received suitable PPE (personal protective equipment) to protect themselves while working.)

This report was filed on April 27, a few days after at least 8 of the hospital’s staff members had tested positive for the virus, according to a report by India Today.

The image from the bulletin has been taken out of context from an actual bulletin from the news channel.

The keyword search also returned articles from other news websites.
