TRUTH

The Indian government has not launched this website. The claim of providing financial aid to ration card holders is also false. No such scheme has been launched by the government.

On 26th March 2020, a relief package worth Rs. 1.7 crore was announced by The Centre to help the poor affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. With this information, a fake website was generated with false claims.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has also clarified about the same and asked people to be cautious of such falsified websites that ask for one’s personal information and money.

The tweet has been archived here.

The website was carefully designed with emblems and logo including RTI.

According to Domain Tools, this website was created on December 18, 2019 and was registered with “GoDaddy.com”.

However, the government has another website called “rsby.gov.in“, but this is an official website for providing health insurance to the poor and the scheme is called ‘Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna’ which isn’t the same as this fake website called ‘rsby.org’.
