Claims: A post includes a document showing few guidelines for reopening of schools in the state of Telangana. The document mentions that the high schools in Telangana will be re-opened on July 1, 2020, and primary schools on August 1, 2020. It also includes false claims that the school hours would be reduced by one hour and the syllabus would be reduced down by 70%.
However, these are false claims with a fake document. The Telangana government hasn’t issued any notice about the same.
The post’s caption says, “Guidelines for Schools in Telangana to reopen for the academic year 2020-21.”
The document attached in the post is fake and not issued by government. It is full of grammatical errors as shown below.
The Times of India, Hyderabad took up to their official twitter and alerted about the fake news. The tweet said, “Guidelines on reopening of schools in #Telangana for academic year 2020-21 due to #COVID19India are being circulated on @WhatsApp. Additional director of school #education dept Ramana Kumar confirmed to @timesofindia that no such guidelines have been issued by them”
The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Telangana also tweeted about the same and dismissed the rumour and said “#FakeNewsAlert”

Hence, these guidelines are fake and not issued by any government authority. No news of reopening of school has been out yet.
