Mock drill video of Bhagalpur Central Jail is viral as COVID-19 case
A clip of a man lying on the floor of jail is found viral on various social media platforms, claiming he is a police officer from Bhagalpur Central of Bihar, tested positive for coronavirus. The video clearly reveals a man coughing and sneezing on the floor with various other policemen surrounding him from all sides.
“भागलपुर के सेंट्रल जेल में बड़ा बाबू को करोना हुआ।”
Translation: “Police officer tested positive for coronavirus in Bhagalpur Central Jail”, it claims.

TRUTH:
This clip is of a mock drill that happened in the same Bhagalpur Central Jail, Bihar a few days ago. The claim that states – the officer lying on the floor is tested positive for coronavirus stands completely false as this was just a projection of the same where these officers were performing in unison to spread awareness.
On performing a keyword search, we found out that the video was originally posted by “Nation Bharat” a channel on youtube, on the 11th of April.
Along with this, we also got in touch with a superintendent of the same jail who confirmed that this clip was indeed of the mock drill.
RESULT:
The claim stands completely untrue. This video getting viral misleads viewers by disseminating false information. In actual, this is an old mock drill video used currently as a COVID-19 case.
