Truth
The news reports made a mistake. On Tuesday Banerjee held a rally at Santuri, Purulia. Mamata Banerjee’s actual statement was, In the video mark of 13 minutes 31 seconds it was found that Banerjee said “Money doesn’t matter to me. So when Narendra Modi came to Bengal and accused my party of being tolabaaj, I wanted to give him a tight slap of democracy”.
Banerjee in her rally raised her hand to show that she really wants to give a tight slap. Both India Today and CNN news reports did not mention democracy in their news reports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Trinamool Congress is a party of “Triple T . Triple T stands for Trinamool, Tolabaazi, Tax”. Modi repeated ‘Tolabaazi‘ on Tuesday too . In Bengali Tolabbazi means organised extortion.
