A viral post was uploaded by a satirical page of Inshorts called Real Inshots claiming that the Muslim BTS fan accidentally played the “Dynamite” song instead of Azan on loudspeakers at 4 am. According to the post, later on, he got arrested. The popular song “dynamite” of K-pop band BTS was played at 4 am over the loudspeakers in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The post describes the fan as Aqib Ali. He, later on, claimed that he mistakenly connected his mobile phone through loudspeakers and played BTS’s popular song “Dynamite”. The fake post also cooks up stories around the local police arresting Ali and charging him Rs.3000. The viral post says that currently Ali is set free. A few also shared a text stating the same on twitter.

Truth

It’s not true, was a mistake accepted by the one who initiated it, a satirical account.

The post was made by a satirical Instagram Account called “realinshots”. The original Inshorts app that creates a news summary in 60 words is nowhere linked to this satirical page. When we took a closer look at the Realinshots page, the logo was in black whereas the Inshorts logo is in red. Moreover, the alphabet “R” is also missing making it look like the logo of the real news service. Below is the Inshorts news service logo and the satirical page logo is in black.

The Instagram page, later on, deleted the post and put up a story claiming that the post with an image, headline, and body was completely fake and it did not happen in reality. Still people think that the incident took place in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
