Are these buildings from pre-pandemic Wuhan province of China?

Spread the truth:

A video has been doing the rounds on YouTube that shows aerial views of futuristic architectural designs. According to the video, these buildings are from the Chinese city of Wuhan which has been the source of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. The video has been shared from various countries such Nigeria, Slovakia and Czech Republic, all pointing to the fact that the said buildings are from Wuhan before the COVID-19 outbreak. The video was first shared in Nigeria on March 27th on the YouTube channel Voicetv Nigeria and has garnered over 105 thousand views. The full video can be viewed here.

In Slovakia, the video was shared by Jalal Suleiman on March 25th. He is the current vice president of the Communist Party of Slovakia. A screenshot of the post is as follows:

The caption is as follows:

Wu-Chan, ktorébolo ako prvé napadnuté koronavírusom.
Toto je čínske mesto Wu-chan, ktoré bolo ako prvé napadnuté koronavírusom. Áno, je to komunistická Čína. Neviem, prečo Západ, ku ktorému nás tlačili posledných tridsať rokov, tvrdí, že je pupkom civilizovaného sveta. Východ sme, priatelia, a na východ sa obrátime.”

Translation:

“Wuhan, who was the first to be infected with the coronavirus. This is the Chinese city of Wuhan, which was the first to be attacked by a coronavirus. Yes, it is communist China. I do not know why the West, to which we have been pushed for the last thirty years, claims to be the navel of the civilised world. We are east, friends, and we will turn east.”

 

Truth

The claim that all the  above buildings are aerial screenshots from Wuhan are false. While the buildings are situated in China, they are from different provinces of the country. Repeated Google reverse image search shows the following results of the name of the building and accurate locations of where each of them are situated in the country.

The hotel is located in Sanya which is in the Hainan province of China.

The hotel is situated in the capital city of Beijing in the People’s Province of China.

The building is located on the Jinyang North Road which is in the Guiyang province of China.

The horse shoe shaped hotel is situated in the Zhejiang province of China.

The Canton Tower, formally Guangzhou TV Astronomical and Sightseeing Tower, is a 604-meter-tall multipurpose observation tower in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou.

 

This pagoda is located in the Shaanxi province of China.

This bridge is situated in the Guangzhou province of China.

The Yachi River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in Guizhou, China. The bridge is the fourth highest in the world. It is also one of the longest cable-stayed bridges with a main span of 800 m.

Finished in 2017, this is Shijiazhai Bridge, a part of the Yongshun-Jishou expressway in Hunan province.

This is the Qianchun Interchange in the southern city of Guiyang.

The Xingkang grand bridge on the Ya’an-Kangding expressway in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
