The video is genuine, not altered but boy and the girl, both are of the same religion.
We called up the mobile number of Patratu Police station who told us that this comes under Pitoria Police so we called them too. They told us that the boy and the girl were from the same class. This incident happened on Sunday, 15th Sep, around 4 PM. The name of the boy is Arvind Kumar so both, victim and culprit are from same religion. On asking about the health status of the girl, the police said, she is fine and is at home now. The boy, Arvind Kumar has been arrested.

A jilted suitor on Sunday made an abortive bid to slit his girlfriend’s throat after she refused to marry him.
The incident happened in the Patratu valley under Pithoria police station of Ranchi in Jharkhand. The girl managed to escape from the crime scene after sustaining injuries around her neck.
Arvind kumar, who hails from Chandwa in Latehar district of Jharkhand, wanted to marry his girlfriend staying in Ranchi. It irked Arvind when the girl refused to get married to him.
With malicious intentions, Arvind convinced the girl for a date. They went to Pithoria valley.
Suddenly, Arvind left the girl making an excuse that he needs to go to the washroom.
When Arvind did not return for some time, the girl went to find him. But the moment she entered a secluded place in the area, Arvind attacked her with a sharp weapon.
Mustering all her guts, the girl resisted and ran towards the Ranchi Patratu main road calling for help.
Soon after hearing screams of the girl, the passers-by gathered and caught hold of Arvind.
As the mob was thrashing Arvind, the patrolling party intervened and arrested the accused.
Vinod Ram, the officer in-charge of Pithoria police station, informed India Today TV that the girl is out of danger, while the accused has been arrested.”
