A post with the screenshot of the tweet being claimed that the Jyotiraditya Scindia planning a ‘ghar wapsi’ to the Congress just two months after he quit the Grand Old Party to join BJP. A post shows that this is tweeted by Twitter handle named “India Tv” (@IndiaTVPoll) and having a logo similar to the “India TV” news channel as its profile picture is going viral on Social media.
The tweet reads: “सूत्रों के हवाले से खबर भाजपा नेता ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया सोमवार तक भाजपा छोड़ने की तैयारी में , बोले- ” मंत्री बनाओ या परिणाम भुगतने को तैयार रहें शिवराज , इनके कारण इज्जत भी गई और कुछ मिला भी नहीं , मामा और मोदी ने मिलकर फंसाया “
Many others also shared the tweet with the same claim.
With keyword search on Twitter and that led us to the same tweet shared on social media and has found that the Twitter handle is not the official Twitter handle of “India TV” or in any way associated with the news channel. The tweet has been liked by more than 11,500 users and retweeted over 2,700 times.

As a screenshot of the tweet is going viral and found that the Twitter handle updated their username @IndiaTVPoll to @IndiaNews and also changed their profile picture but the timing and date of the tweet are the same. We also found that many users tagged @IndiaTVPoll in the comment section to questioning the tweet. As they mentioned in their bio that India News is an online platform, which shares political posts in a sarcastic way for fun purposes.
The original account of the “India TV” news channel is verified by Twitter and has a different profile picture.
Scindia’s close aide and personal assistant Purushottam Parashar also clarified to media that the viral tweet is fake and many similar articles are circulating on social media.
