Translates: ” A Muslim SP in Maharashtra becomes first IPS through Urdu medium!

Claim: The viral pic of a girl in a hijab surrounded by policemen claims to be of a Muslim SP from Maharashtra who became the first IPS by clearing an exam in Urdu medium. The text further claims that she on the very first day of her duty left her police dress code and adopted an Islamic dress code. The text also congratulated the Shiv Sena Government for its contribution to Gajhwa-e-Hind.

She is a 14 year old student, made SP just for a day for motivation.

With the help of reverse image search, we found out that this viral picture is from an event organized on account of International Women’s day 2020 by the district administration of Buldhana district in Maharashtra. In this event Sahrish Kanwal, a 14-year-old, from the Zilla Parishad Urdu High School, Malkapur tehsil took up the position of District Superintendent of Police in the Maharashtrian district of Buldhana.

The date mentioned in the below screenshot grab of this video states that this video was published on 5th March 2020.

Therefore in our investigation, the claims made on this viral picture were found to be false.
