A ‘supposed’ news is viral claiming you’d be penalized if you keep accounts in two or more banks. Almost all of the websites sharing this false info is using RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das’s photo along with the quote, claiming he said this.

This Claim is completely False. Neither RBI nor RBI Governor has issued any such guidelines. We have confirmed with the official RBI Spokesperson.
Usually such ‘supposed’ news are clickbaits. Websites, laden with popups/advertisements earn from traffic i.e. visits on their site/pages etc.and use interesting, disturbing etc kind of headlines so people out of curiosity open their site to read further which earns them money.
