This image has been viral on WhatsApp for years claiming that India is an abbreviation of “Independent Nation Declared In August” .
Despite being obvious lie, people believed in it and forwarded it in lakhs.
In case you are not aware, India’s name was derived from Indus Valley Civilization.
And British East India Company existed much before Independence.
