Did the video of a deer running on a beach happen during Covid-19 lockdown?

People around the world are talking about how animals and plants have a chance to rejoice while humans are forced to sit indoors during the Covid-19 lock down.

Claim: A video of a deer running on a beach shore has been going viral on social media. The video is doing rounds in India stating that the video is amidst the lock down from Chandrabagha Beach in Puri, Odisha, India. An interesting thing is that the video has also been going viral in other countries stating it is from the respective countries during the lock down. One of the caption state the clip is from Matalascañas beach, Spain and another claims it is from Nilaveli beach,  Sri Lanka.

The video has been extensively viewed and shared by many with various captions claiming it to be from different beaches from various countries. The only common theme among all captions is that it is claimed to be during the Covid-19 lock down and states the incident is a result of a lack of human interventions in the nature.

Truth 

 

None of the claims that have been floating around are true. Upon doing a key word and reverse image search, it was found that video is from 2015. The video is shot by Anthony Martin, a French film maker in 2015. He posted the video on his Facebook page 4 years ago and he also stated in the caption that he would be using this clip  in a long feature film that he has been working on for the past 3 years. Upon checking Martin’s YouTube Channel, the clip was found in a trailer of a movie named “Bambi, The True Story – La VĂ©ritable Histoire De Bambi”. The video was widely loved and shared after Anthony Martin posted it in 2015. Various websites like Little Things, Outdoor Hub and Sun Gazing have featured the video along with an article describing it. The claim that the video has been shot during the Covid-19 lock down is absolutely false, The claim has also been fact checked by AFP, HIndustan Times,etc.
