Clickbaits and media. Was Disha Patni really ugly & shocking ?
There are hundreds of small website claiming to be delivering news which are using different strategies to earn money, some have political agendas, some use shocking headlines, click baits to draw traffic to their websites and ultimately mint money from the ad banners on their site, in mos cases obscene ads too, but here you can find a mainstream media working on the same strategy.
uses a photo of Actress Disha Patni when she was a student claiming to be “shocking” and “ugly”.
It tweets “Can you believe how ugly Disha Patani looked once, see the contrast #DishaPatani #DishaPatanioldpicture #Baag“
This makes us worry about our comprehension of these words, where were we wrong ?
Given our surroundings, the old photo, Disha as student could attract classmates’ proposals too. Many debates are going on currently regarding “looks”, some says it’s inner beauty that matters, some says attitude, some says Fat is beautiful too, then some defend “Size Zero” but this particular photo of hers doesn’t belong to any of these genres.
The News article says “But there is a shocking picture of Disha Patani where she is seen as a plain Jane, very ordinary and dull.”
Really ? Being plain Jane & ordinary is shocking ?
