An old video falsely shared as Brahma Kamal flowers bloom during the lockdown
A video is going viral on social media with the claim that the Brahma Kamal flowers which finally bloomed after many years due to less pollution during the lockdown.
A Facebook user named Mahalaxmi Upadhya shared the video with the caption “See how the Brahma Kamals have bloomed near Badrinath due to no pollution. A site which had not been seen since decades.
Many others shared the video with the same claim in Hindi on Facebook.

With the keyword search that led us to the video that uploaded on YouTube in December 2017. Also, Brahma Kamal flowers usually bloom every year during June – September, and the flowers can be seen till mid-October.
This confirms that the video was 2 years old and falsely linked to the lockdown.
