Truth

The claim is not true. Upon conducting a key frame search of the viral video, it was found that it is a video dated back to 23rd March, 2020. The video is of people attending prayers at a mosque in Temkar Street, Dongri, Maharashtra and the police dispersing the crowd. 22nd March 2020 was the date of Janata Curfew and a section 144 was announced in the state of Maharashtra. On 23rd March, 2020 this incident occurred which was against Section 144 that prohibits more than 5 people to gather together. The police received information that around 100-150 people were offering namaz in a masjid which violated the orders in place to stop the spread of the corona virus. The video is of this incident. The lock down in India was announced on 24th March 2020 and started off on 25th March 2020. Tweets by people and video shared by the Mumbai Police were found through the search that proves this. Various publications like Deccan Herald, Mumbai Mirror and ABP Live have reported about the same.

Hence the claim that the video is from Jamalpur, Ahmedabad amidst the lock down is false. It is a month old video paired with a false message to deceive the audience.
