Truth
The video of Surya Namaskar is neither from current year, nor from Tokyo, Japan.
This is a 6 years old video from Mongolia
The viral claim is false and misleading, the video originally documents an event organised by the Art of Living Foundation, a non-governmental organisation founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The event was organised during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mongolia on 17 May 2015.
Using InVid, we broke the viral video into several keyframes and performed a reverse image search. The reverse image search led us to the longer version of the video uploaded on PM Modi’s official Youtube channel on 17 May 2015. The video is titled “PM Modi at the Community Reception & Yoga Event organised by ‘Art of Living‘ in Mongolia,” and it was streamed live on 17 May 2015.
Using the keywords ‘PM Modi community reception Mongolia,’ we searched on Youtube and found the longer version of the viral video this time on PMO India’s official Youtube channel and also on another Youtube channel named NMF News. The video was also streamed live on PMO India’s official Youtube channel on 17 May 2015 and is titled “PM Modi at community reception in Mongolia.”

In order to collect more information about the event, we decided to search on the microblogging site Twitter. Using Twitter advanced search, we were able to locate several tweets from the official Twitter handles of PMO India and PM Narendra Modi regarding the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mongolia on 17 May 2015 was historic as he became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Mongolia. The highlights of PM Modi’s visit to Mongolia in May 2015 are also available on PM Modi’s official website, and can be accessed here.
