Spread the truth:

On June 7, a parliamentary meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held in New Dalhi. In this meeting, PM Narendra Modi was chosen to take the role of the alliance leader and the Prime Minister of the nation unanimously by the alliance members.

The leaders in the venue stood and applauded PM Modi on several occasions in the event. Amidst this, a video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating that BJP leader and the current Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari did not join the other leaders to stand and cheer for Modi.

This video has gone viral on X with many accounts sharing the video and making the same claims.

The claims made in the video are misleading as Nitin Gadkari was seen standing and applauding for PM Modi during the meeting. The Quint also found varied clips from the video that showed the leader standing and cheering for Modi.

From the videos uploaded by Sansad TV and BJP’s YouTube channel, several moments from the entire meeting were found which counter the viral video’s claim.
