Unfortunately the cop died because of Dalit Protests, but the viral photos are false.
The recent Dalit protest was almost countrywide, took lives, damaged public and private properties against SC/ST.

But a set of photos, three to be precise went viral along with real photo of Late Sub Inspector Mahendra Chaudhary.
Many used the photos as per their need, adding their story to it.
A Page AIMIM, Bharuch, Gujrat claims this happened in Uttar Pradesh and blaming CM Yogi Adityanath as his failure calling it Jungleraj –

A Page Bharat ki Awaazz with a huge no of followers rightly says about Place and death but using wrong photos of attack –
“जोधपुर जिले में सब -इंस्पेक्टर महेन्द्र चौधरी जी को इस दलित ने बेरहमी से पिट पिट कर मौत के घाट उतार दिया! यह था भारत बंद ??इसे ज्यादा से ज्यादा शेयर करें ।।”
A Tweet by Siddharth Bakaria got approx 2000 retweets which asks the question to Rahul Gandhi where the name and place is right but again the three photos of attack are wrong –
