True, We have a beast helicopter (Light Combat Helicopter by HAL) among many in our army.
LCH was officially launched on 5 February 2003 and replaces earlier LAH program. LCH was intended to augment, and eventually replace Indian Air Force Mi-35 fleet. HAL start work on it from 3rd October 2006 and the design and development of LCH, and completed the task over a 24-month period. They reduced its weight from 5 ton to 2.5 ton to achieve grant it the caption of light helicopter.
