Photo of President Murmu being shared with false claims on social media
In a recent viral post on Facebook, a photo of President Droupadi Murmu with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political leaders is being shared with a false claim. The post claims that the President has accompanied PM Modi for application of his candidature in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The post questions if a President can accompany a leader to fill the form of election candidature, pointing out the ‘ruining’ of the constitution through such actions.

The post being shared is false as the photo shared in the post is from 2022. The photo was shared on social media handles of PM Modi. The photo was taken when President Murmu was accompanied by PM Modi and other leaders for filing her Presidential candidature.
