HOAX: A #rare ##photo from 1920 where #Muslims are #Praying to #Shivling in #Mecca, suggesting there was a #Lord #Shiva’s #Temple
TRUTH: This is a ritual “ ramī al-jamarāt” as a part of Haj Pilgrimage at Mecca, Photo taken in 1953. It’s a pillar in center called – Jamrat which actually represents Devil and the Ritual is “Stoning the Devil”.
A Closer look of Photo shows people are throwing stones at the pillar instead of praying it.
