Edited collage of Mamata Banerjee not greeting PM Modi upon his arrival in Kolkata is misleading
An edited collage of two images related to Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the cyclone-affected states of West Bengal and Odisha has been going around on social media with the claim that while the Chief Minister of Odisha respectfully greeted the PM, Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, refused to show any such courtesy to PM Modi.
Caption: Difference! Odisha CM, My respect for you
The image was uploaded by an account named Love Bharat first and has received more than 300 shares on Facebook.
It was also uploaded by an account named Team Modi 2019 and has received more than 1000 likes and almost 400 shares.
The edited collage is being circulated on Twitter by quite a few accounts with exactly the same misleading caption.

Truth
The collage being circulated online is misleading. This picture of Mamata Banerjee was clicked a few seconds before she actually greeted the Prime Minister with a “namaste”.
According to a video uploaded by the official Facebook page of NDTV, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kolkata on 22nd May at around 11 AM and was immediately greeted first by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and then by the other Bengal officials. PM Modi can even be seen conversing with Mamata Banerjee for a few seconds upon his arrival, before moving towards the other dignitaries.
For further confirmation, an India Today video can be referred to that was uploaded on their official Youtube account.
