An old video of a person committing suicide by jumping from a building is viral on various social media platforms.
Claim: “इटली का यह अरब पति अपने होटल के छत से कुद कर जान दे दिया क्योंकि उसका पुरा खानदान क्रोनावायरस से समाप्त हो गया था उसका दौलत और शोहरत कोई काम नहीं आया”
Translation: “This millionaire from Italy jumped from the roof of his own hotel and killed himself as his entire family died baecause of Coronavirus. His fame and money didn’t work for him”
The video claims to be of a person in Italy who committed suicide after his whole family died due to coronavirus.

TRUTH :
The video is not related to COVID-19 as it’s 5 years old (2015) and neither from Italy. It’s a video of suicide by a pregnant woman in Ghana.
On splitting this video and further analysis of its keyframes we used google reverse image search in our investigation.The google search led us to a facebook post where this video was stating that a pregnant Ghanian woman committed suicide by jumping from the roof of her building after finding out that her husband was cheating on her with her mother .This post had been updated on 11th august 2015.
During the course of our investigation we also found a story on daily mail online news website stating the same story which states that
A pregnant Ghanaian woman has committed suicide after finding her husband having sex with her own mother, who had also fallen pregnant by the cheating man, it has been claimed.
The unidentified woman is understood to have returned home early from a shopping trip to find her husband and her mother having sex in the married couple’s bed.
Shortly afterwards the woman is said to have discovered that the man her mother’s pregnancy was the result of her secret relationship with the cheating husband.
Devastated at their betrayal, the pregnant wife is understood to have jumped from the roof of her apartment building, dying as a result of her injuries in hospital later the same day.

Therefore in our investigation the claims made regarding this are absolutely incorrect that this video is from Italy and the person who committed suicide killed himself as its whole family died due to coronavirus.
