Yediyurappa did not attend Kumaraswamy son’s wedding amid lockdown
A viral post doing the round on social media shows Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa at an event along with Kumaraswamy and couple dressed in wedding attire. It is being claimed that Yediyurappa also attended the wedding of HD Kumarswamy’s son on 17th April despite the lockdown. The post is a collage by a photo of the lockdown being punished by the police. The post reads

TRUTH
The picture was taken on February 10, 2020, from the engagement ceremony and not from the wedding.
Using reverse image search that led us to several Media reports in which the viral picture was used. The picture was taken on February 10, 2020, when CM Yediyurappa attended the engagement ceremony of Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Gowda at Taj West End in Bengaluru. India was not under lockdown at the time.
