Following recent Kozhikode crash, a video of the uniformed officer claimed as the unfortunate Air India Plane Pilot Deepak Sathe is viral on the majority of the social media platforms.

Claim: The video claims to be of  Late Captain Deepak Sathe who is singing a song on the account of IAF day celebrations.

Truth

The man in the video is Admiral Girish Luthra, not late Pilot Deepak Sathe.

With the help of reverse image search using the keyframes from this video, we found a YouTube channel named as Vice Admiral Girish Luthra Retd.

On further investigations, we found a video on this channel dated 6th march 2019.

This further states that this video is of  Vice Admiral Girish Luthra now retired is singing a song at a ceremonial program and not of Late captain Deepak Sathe. On further investigation, we also found media reports about this viral video of Vice Admiral Girish Luthra.

Therefore in our investigation, it is clear that this video does not have any connection with the Late captain Deepak Sathe and instead it is of Retd Vice Admiral Girish Luthra. Hence the claims made on this viral video are false.
